About this spot
Indian Maiden Falls sits deep in the West Clear Creek Wilderness northeast of Camp Verde, AZ, reached via a demanding roughly 7.3-mile round-trip hike with over 2,000 feet of elevation gain, several creek crossings, and rock scrambling; the rough access road itself requires high clearance. The reward is a waterfall dropping into a clear, secluded pool ringed by canyon walls, with a dedicated feature describing rock slides and cliff-jumping spots at the swimming area. Because of the remote, technical approach, this stays lightly visited and is best attempted April through September when flow and temperatures are manageable. Water depth and current strength vary with recent rain, so scout the pool before jumping and don't attempt the approach alone or without navigation experience.
