About this spot
Mt Magazine Falls is a roughly 28-foot cascade in Mount Magazine State Park, reached by parking at the last pulloff on the one-way Cameron Bluff Overlook Drive and hiking downhill past a bluff to the creek, then following it about 100 yards to the falls. It's a scenery/photography destination on the highest point in Arkansas rather than a documented swimming or jumping spot — no pool, rope swing, or jump culture appears in trip reports. Rocks at the falls are described as slippery and dangerous, the main hazard for visitors scrambling near the drop. Free to access within the state park; flow is seasonal and best after rain.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
