About this spot

A pleasant jumping area sits along a clear river (believed to be the Trinity). From the coastal region, head east on Highway 299 for roughly 40 miles into Willow Creek. Turn left at the street by the Chevron station. At the upcoming fork, bear right and keep going until you spot Kimtu Beach signage. Follow these markers to reach the parking area. The main jumps are situated across the river, with heights between 1 and 25 feet. Additional jumps of comparable size dot the river in both directions upstream and downstream.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
