About this spot
Head north from Boston on Interstate 93, then connect to Route 128 in the direction of Gloucester. Continue on 128 until reaching a rotary where Route 127 intersects. Take 127 toward Gloucester and proceed into the Lanesville area, staying on this road the entire way. Turn right onto Quarry Street and drive to its summit. Exercise caution with parking as local residents may be unfamiliar with outside vehicles. At the top of the street, locate the foot trail and follow it—minimal hiking required. The path provides access to three separate quarries, all suitable for jumping. The third quarry offers the most challenging experience with the highest jump options. The water depth is sufficient for safe jumping.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
