About this spot

Head north from Boston on Interstate 93, then connect to Route 128 heading toward Gloucester. Stay on 128 until you reach a rotary where Route 127 intersects. Take 127 toward Gloucester, continuing through the Lanesville neighborhood. Remain on 127 as it leads directly to the destination. Turn right onto Quarry Street and drive to its end. Park thoughtfully, as nearby residents are protective of unfamiliar vehicles. At the top of the street, locate the foot path entrance. The trail is straightforward with minimal elevation gain. This route provides access to three separate quarries, all suitable for jumping. The third quarry, featured in reference photos, offers the most appealing experience with the highest platforms available. Water depth is adequate for safe landings.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
