About this spot

Starting from the Mass Pike, exit at Exit 3 and turn right onto Routes 10 and 202. Continue on this road for approximately ten minutes, passing through six traffic lights, then follow the rotary to Route 20 heading east. Stay on Route 20 as you enter West Springfield. Once you're about a quarter mile into town, you'll notice a Sunoco gas station on the right side and Little George's restaurant across the street on the left. Leave your vehicle at Little George's parking area and walk toward the train tracks behind the establishment. From there, backtrack roughly a quarter mile and you'll find the quarry on your right side, marked by a large "danger no swimming" sign. The trail leading up to the cliff formations is positioned to your left when facing the sign. Access requires visiting after 5 p.m. on weekdays or anytime during weekends when the quarry operations have ceased; arriving during work hours will result in removal by site personnel. Three jump options exist: 15 feet, 30 feet, and 40 feet. The 40-foot option presents questionable conditions and should only be attempted after verifying water depth and taking appropriate safety measures.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
