About this spot
Start by exiting the Mass Pike at exit 3, then turn right onto routes 10 and 202. Continue for approximately ten minutes through six traffic lights, then navigate the rotary onto route 20 heading east. Stay on route 20 until you reach West Springfield. Once in West Springfield, drive about a quarter mile further until you spot a Sunoco gas station on the right side and Little George's restaurant across the street on the left. Leave your vehicle at Little George's and proceed on foot toward the railroad tracks behind the restaurant. Walk back about a quarter mile along the tracks, and the quarry entrance will appear on your right side, marked by a large warning sign prohibiting swimming. The trail leading upward to the cliff access point is located just to your left as you face the quarry. Access is restricted to after 5pm on weekdays or anytime during weekends when the facility is closed; arriving during operating hours will result in workers ordering you to leave. Three jump options exist: 15 feet, 30 feet, and 40 feet. The 40-foot jump presents significant visual concerns and requires thorough depth verification and careful safety measures before attempting.
