About this spot
In Mankato Minnesota, travel north on Riverfront Drive past the Madison intersection, then turn left onto 3rd avenue. Continue several miles until you see both a rock quarry and cemetery on your left side. Before reaching the cemetery, take the dirt road entrance on your left. The quarry contains water approximately 10-15 feet deep—adequate for jumping but unsuitable for diving. Multiple jump locations exist within the quarry. One accessible option involves a short walk from the road with a large rock formation positioned nearby, suitable for launching into the water.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
