About this spot

Redrock Falls is an easy, family-friendly 3.5-mile round trip from the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn trailhead in Many Glacier, passing Fishercap Lake with minimal elevation gain. The falls cascade over the reddish Grinnell Formation rock into a series of pools, one forming a popular swimming hole that's shown up widely in TikTok and Instagram clips alongside moose sightings at Fishercap Lake. Multiple hiking guides call it one of the best swimming spots in the Many Glacier area. There's no established cliff-jumping culture here specifically -- it's a wade-and-swim pool rather than a jump platform, and water stays cold even in summer, rarely topping 50°F, so cold-water shock is the real hazard. Bear activity is common along this trail; carry bear spray. Free with park entry, no permit needed, accessible year-round with best conditions late spring through fall.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
