About this spot
Livermore Falls Recreation Area sits on the Pemigewasset River in Campton, New Hampshire, within Livermore Falls State Forest. A parking lot off Livermore Road (Route 175) leads to sandy beaches, flat ledges, and a historic 1885 lenticular truss bridge. It's a well-known local jump spot: regulars swing from a rope tied near the old bridge and jump from streamside rocks into deep, clear pools, with some bridge jumps reported around 50 feet. NH State Parks and multiple swim-hole guides document the site. The hazard that matters is variable river depth and current strength after rain, plus hot sand and slick rocks at the put-in. Access is free, legal, and includes pit toilets and canoe/kayak launching; busiest on summer weekends.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
