About this spot
From Route 80, take Exit 37 at Hibernia and turn left onto Greenpond Road regardless of direction. Proceed through two traffic lights (Sanders Road, then the next one), then bear right onto Meridan Road. Continue for several miles and bear left onto Lyonsville Road. At the end, turn left onto Split Rock Road where you'll notice rock sculptures on your left before the pavement becomes dirt. A parking area appears on the right—use this lot to avoid a $54 parking ticket and enjoy a 10-minute walk to the site. Water access is available by paddling northwest with a raft, kayak, or non-motorized boat from the reservoir. Swimming from the parking lot is possible but demanding and only suitable for experienced swimmers familiar with the route. For those without watercraft, continue past the parking area across the bridge, then take a trail to your right. The location sits on the west side of the reservoir approximately 25 minutes on foot. Follow the lakeside trails without worry about getting lost—simply keep walking forward. Two primary jumps exist: a 20-25 foot option on the left and a 35 foot option on the right, both marked with arrows. Wear closed-toe shoes due to scattered small glass fragments throughout the area. The reservoir welcomes public use with no access restrictions.
