About this spot

This swimming hole features multiple jumping opportunities along the cliffs, with heights ranging from 10 to roughly 30 feet. The bridge itself offers a 50-foot option, though jumpers must launch outward from the guard rail to clear an underwater ledge below. To reach the location from I-87 Thruway exit 21 in Cairo, merge onto Route 23B heading toward South Cairo. Turn left onto County Route 47 for approximately 0.3 miles, then right onto Route 23. Continue for about 7 miles before turning right onto Route 145. Follow this for roughly 6 miles until you spot Furlongs Pub, then take the right onto Stone Bridge Road—the bridge is immediately visible upon turning. The water is notably clear and maintains substantial depth. Jumpers selecting the bridge must leap as far as feasible away from the guard rail to successfully avoid the submerged ridge underneath. Multiple cliff points provide varying difficulty levels suitable for different experience levels.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
