About this spot
Emily Falls (an unofficial name) is a real but small, roughly 12-foot waterfall near the NC/SC line, reached by an easy 0.31-mile walk from a small gravel lot (about 8 cars) followed by a short, steep scramble to the base. Multiple hiking write-ups (World Waterfall Database, AllTrails, a personal trip-report blog) confirm the trail and falls exist, but none mention swimming or jumping — the spot is framed as a pretty, secluded short hike rather than a swim destination, and its modest height makes it an unlikely jump spot. No hazard beyond an occasionally slick creek-bank scramble is documented.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
