About this spot

Alyssa Falls sits on an unnamed tributary entering the East Fork of Campbell Creek in the Plott Balsams near Waterrock Knob, in the same remote drainage as neighboring Lyn Lowry Falls and Campbell Creek Falls. It appears on regional waterfall inventories (HikingWNC #894) but no trip report describes swimming or jumping there. Reaching it requires steep, unmarked off-trail travel that guides warn inexperienced hikers to avoid. Treat this as an obscure backcountry waterfall rather than a swim spot; exact coordinates are approximate given the lack of a marked trail.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
