About this spot

From Portland, Oregon, head south on I-205 to exit 10 (Park Place/Molalla). Continue on this route for approximately 13 miles until you pass a tree orchard on the right. Turn left onto S. Molalla Rd at the orchard. Drive through Molalla town to a flashing red light and turn left. Continue to S. Matthias Rd and turn right, then follow this road to S. Feyrer Park Rd and veer left. After crossing a bridge and reaching a road intersection, turn right onto S. Dickie Prairie Rd. Travel on this road until you spot a large bridge on the right marking S. Molalla Forest Rd. Take this road uphill for about 6.3 miles to a gravel pullout on the left—this is Sundial Rock. Continue another 4 miles to where the road splits into a Y junction with an offshoot heading right. Park at this Y rather than taking the right branch. Behind you on the right side of the road is a trail leading downward, descending back toward the direction you came from. Follow this trail as it descends with the road remaining on your right. Eventually you'll encounter three separate trail options. The rightmost trail provides family-friendly access to shallow water areas. The middle trail and the left trail both lead to cliff formations located at the Narrows.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
