About this spot

Starting at the four-way intersection in Centralia where Route 61 North crosses Route 42, head north on Route 42. You'll encounter a hill with passing lanes right away. On your right side, a trail entrance appears roughly half a mile past the junction—if the passing lanes conclude, you've gone too far. An abandoned dump truck marks the trailhead. Follow this path downward until you reach a substantial puddle measuring approximately 25 by 25 feet. The jump site sits to the left of this puddle, across some elevated terrain. You'll recognize the location by extensive graffiti covering the area. This former quarry contains notably deep water. A local figure known as the lily monster frequents the quarry, swimming regularly through the site. Despite his age and mental decline, he maintains a friendly demeanor.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
