About this spot

From the intersection of Route 61 North and Route 42 at the four-way stop in Centralia, proceed north on Route 42. The road climbs immediately with passing lanes. On the right side within roughly half a mile, you'll spot a trail entrance—if the passing lanes have ended, you've gone too far. An abandoned dump truck marks the trailhead. Follow the path downward until reaching a large standing pool of water approximately 25 feet by 25 feet. The jumping area lies to the left of this pool across some rises. Graffiti markings throughout indicate you've found the correct location. This former quarry contains notably deep water. A local resident known as the Lilly monster regularly swims the quarry; he's elderly and friendly.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
