About this spot
Lower Middle Branch Falls sits just downstream of Upper Middle Branch Falls on the same Camels Road access trail in Loyalsock State Forest, and is reported roughly twice as tall as the upper falls. A fallen tree has partly obstructed the base in past trip reports. Rocks nearby are described as quite slippery. No swimming or jumping culture is documented; the draw is scenic hiking and photography.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
