About this spot

Starting from Boone, NC, travel north on 321 toward Vilas. At Skateworld, continue straight on 321 as it crosses into Tennessee. Turn left onto Poga Street. After approximately 15 miles on Poga Road, turn right onto Clawson Street. Continue for roughly half a mile, then turn right onto Dark Ridge Road. When the road forks, keep right on Dark Ridge and proceed for about a quarter mile until you see a large red barn on the left side. Park at the gate located just past the barn. From there, follow the trail downward. The hike is lengthy and physically demanding, so wear proper footwear rather than sandals.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
