About this spot

Cane Creek Cascades sits right behind the Betty Dunn Nature Center in Fall Creek Falls State Park, immediately upstream of the taller 85-foot Cane Creek Falls overlook (a separate, non-swimmable feature). Visitors cool off on the rocks at the base of the cascades and drop into the bubbling pool below; it's an official, heavily-trafficked park feature with a paved path, parking, and building right at the water's edge, confirmed by satellite imagery. No lifeguards are on duty, so swim at your own risk, and currents pick up fast after rain upstream on the Cumberland Plateau. Free with park entry; open during standard park hours.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
