About this spot
The double-arched medieval stone bridge over the Verzasca river at Lavertezzo is famous for its crystal-clear green pools and the jumpers who launch from the bridge and the sculpted boulders beside it (roughly 15-30 ft). The river is glacial-cold and deceptively strong; the pool under the bridge is deep, but currents between the rocks have drowned swimmers. Jump on low, calm flow only.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
