About this spot

Starting from Norwich, VT, head through town on Main Street and turn left onto Turnpike Road. About a half mile ahead, turn right on New Boston Road to reach the location. Continue as the road transitions to dirt, then watch for a steep dirt path veering left with a yellow children at play sign visible. You can drive or walk up this left fork until reaching a level clearing on the left side—park here. From there, walk back to the steeper dirt section and locate a small trail climbing through the trees. This path leads to an old mine site with dark water. A roughly 20-foot wall faces you upon arrival, while the right side offers jump options ranging from 40 to 60 feet depending on your chosen climb height. Photos were taken from approximately 55 feet. The water in this area maintains good depth throughout.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
