About this spot

Traveling south on Route 7 from Burlington, look for Route 189. Once you've passed 189, turn right onto Queen City Park Road. After navigating a slight curve, turn right again and continue on Queen City Park Road until you encounter a narrow bridge. Make your first left turn after crossing the bridge—you'll spot a parking area with signage and a trailhead entrance. The hiking route requires some exploration; your best bet is asking other visitors and staying observant. Begin on the marked trail, then take the first left fork and maintain that direction for a stretch. First-time visitors may need multiple attempts to locate it. The walk to the cliffs takes several minutes, so allow extra time. Head away from the parking area toward the water. You'll recognize you've reached the destination when you encounter an extended curved railing offering lake views, with the railing itself directing you toward the cliff area. Look for a path cutting into the vegetation and listen for people already at the site. Follow this path downward to access the cliffs.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
