About this spot
A rural cliff on the Maury River about 6 miles from Lexington, reached via I-81 to Route 39 toward Goshen, then a gravel Alone Mill Rd down to a low bridge crossing. The main jump is roughly 50-60ft. This stretch is a known paddling take-out (Rockbridge Baths to Alone Mill Rd run), but most of the surrounding riverbank is private land — no-trespassing signs are posted near the bridge/takeout, so stick to the water's edge and public right-of-way. Water levels and current strength swing with rainfall; check flow before jumping, and parking is very limited.
