About this spot

Starting from Seattle, head east on I-90 and continue approximately 10 miles past Snoqualmi Pass. Exit at Lake Kachess Campground and follow directional signs to reach the facility. When the road intersects in a T-shape, turn left onto the unpaved forest service road (the right option leads to the state campground). Proceed on this dirt road and keep right where a Y-junction appears. Around the 3-mile mark, glance to your right to spot the waterfall location. Multiple jumps are available here, ranging from 10 to 27 feet in height. The surrounding area offers abundant free camping options. For a more challenging experience, continue driving to access the Rachel Lake trailhead. This steep 4-mile hike culminates at a lake's southern edge where another jump opportunity exists with heights between 25 and 35 feet. A secluded camping spot sits at the base, suitable for nighttime jumping. Note: The water at both locations is extremely turbid; visibility is so limited that swimmers describe the experience as precarious.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
