About this spot

Travel east on I-90 from Seattle, continuing approximately 10 miles beyond Snoqualmi Pass. Exit at Lake Kachess Campground and follow directional markers to the campground area. When the road intersects in a T-shape, turn left onto a dirt forest service road (the right fork leads to the state campground). Continue on this dirt road, keeping right at the single Y-junction. Around the 3-mile mark, glance to your right to spot the waterfall area with its main jumping site. Multiple jump options exist here ranging from 10 to 27 feet in height. Abundant free camping spots dot the surrounding region. Those seeking additional adventure can drive further along the road to access the Rachel Lake trailhead. This challenging 4-mile hike climbs steeply upward and leads to another jumping location at the lake's southern terminus, featuring jump heights between 25 and 35 feet. A secluded camping area sits at the base, suitable for evening jumps. Note: The water at both locations carries extremely high turbidity, requiring significant effort to exit and necessitating caution during jumps.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
