About this spot
Veteran's Falls is inside Veterans Memorial Park, just west of Crivitz on the Thunder River. A short but steep hill and staircase drop from the park's picnic and playground area down to the falls, which are also visible from an overhead footbridge; a $3/day county park fee applies (May-November). The falls form a three-tier drop of roughly 10-15 feet. Above the falls is an ankle-deep wading area popular with kids, and multiple visitor accounts describe people sliding down or jumping off the falls into the plunge pool below on hot days. Water depth and current below the falls aren't posted and vary with rainfall, and there's no lifeguard, so check conditions before jumping. Rock ledges around the drop can be slick.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
