Past the Saguaro del Norte day-use area in Tonto National Forest, a dirt trail from the end-of-road parking loop runs roughly a third to half mile to a series of walk-in cliff faces on Saguaro Lake, known locally as 'The Chains.' Unlike most cliffs on this chain of Salt River lakes, which need a boat or long paddle, this one is reachable on foot, making it one of the more accessible jump spots near Phoenix. Multiple ledges suit different comfort levels, though the approach trail is rough and rock can be loose. A Tonto Pass is required for forest parking; no separate fee. Water level and landing depth shift seasonally, so scout in person before jumping, and expect crowds on hot weekends. Pin sits near the access trailhead rather than the exact cliff edge.
