About this spot
This cliff area sits on Saguaro Lake in Tonto National Forest, reached by driving past the Saguaro del Norte Recreation Site to a parking lot at the road's end, then following a dirt trail roughly 0.3 to 0.5 miles to a series of stacked rock faces. Jump options range from a confidence-building 10-footer up to a heart-stopping 45-footer across multiple ledges, and the spot has its own dedicated cliff-diving guide plus an official Visit Mesa write-up. Reservoir levels and clarity change with releases and drought, so depth must be scouted before every jump. Arizona's monsoon season, July through September, brings a real flash-flood risk from storms upstream; never jump when thunderstorms threaten, and always jump with someone else present to spot.
