About this spot

Beaver Falls is a multi-tiered travertine cascade on Havasu Creek a few miles below Havasu Falls in Havasupai, reached by fording the creek repeatedly and climbing a ladder around one cliff section. Its terraced, turquoise pools are widely considered the best swimming of the whole trip, calm and ideal for cooling off after the hike. Submerged rocks are not always visible, and jumping from the surrounding ledges has caused injuries and deaths, so the Havasupai Tribe explicitly bans cliff jumping anywhere on the reservation and visitors sign a no-jumping waiver. A paid tribal permit and reservation are mandatory, and the round trip from the campground takes most of a day. Flash floods can occur suddenly during monsoon season.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
