About this spot

This location requires an eight-mile backpacking journey from the Supai Indian Reservation toward the Colorado River to reach. Access the reservation via Route 66 East from Kingman. The jump sits behind the cascading waterfall, with the falls themselves creating a dramatic backdrop and spray ideal for photography. The waterfall's edge is technically climbable, but the Supai Tribe enforces a $2,000 fine for anyone caught jumping from it. Multiple intoxicated visitors have attempted jumps without proper experience, resulting in emergency airlifts. Local tribal history speaks of Supai warriors once using the waterfall as a courage test. Note that roads within tribal lands fall under Tribal Police authority, and traffic violations must be addressed through the Chief's office.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
