Topock Bridge spans the Colorado River on the Arizona-California line, where a rope swing has long hung from the old bridge structure and river-goers use it to jump and swing into the water. Access is informal, usually by boat from nearby marinas, or via an unsecured ladder up to the bridge deck; there's no official parking or fee. The river here is deep, flat-water current with heavy jet-boat and pontoon traffic in summer, so timing around boats matters as much as the jump. Forums document a serious injury when a jumper landed on a boat passenger below, and climbing the bridge structure is not authorized, so treat this as a real but genuinely risky, legally gray spot rather than a sanctioned swimming area.
