About this spot
Phipps Branch Falls is a 23 ft waterfall in Ozark National Forest, about six miles northeast of Cass off Fanes Creek Road, with parking roughly 100 ft from the top and a bluff scramble needed to reach the base. Hiker accounts specifically note it lacks the large plunge pool found at some nearby falls, so it is not treated as a swimming destination. It is well photographed and documented across waterfall databases, blogs, and video, but with no jump culture on record.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
