About this spot

Blue Cavern Point is a cliff on Catalina Island's northeast shore near Two Harbors/Isthmus Cove, reachable only by boat—there is no road access, and the submitted pin actually sat at the Catalina Express ferry terminal in San Pedro on the mainland. The point lies within the Blue Cavern Onshore and Offshore State Marine Conservation Areas, no-take marine protected areas where anchoring in the preserve is prohibited and fishing/collecting is restricted; swimming and diving are generally allowed with caution. A roughly 60-foot jump is reported from a ledge reached by climbing a ridge from the water, near sea caves including the noted Perdition Caves. Hazards include swell, kelp, current, and remote rescue access. The listed photo link is dead.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
