About this spot

Wildcat Point is a well-known rocky jump point on the Susquehanna River about four miles north of Conowingo Dam and roughly half a mile south of the Maryland/Pennsylvania line. It's typically reached via Cooks Landing Rd (Peach Bottom, PA) to its dead end, then a short walk. Jumps are commonly cited from 30 to 60ft, with an occasional ~75ft tree jump. This is a genuinely dangerous spot with a documented history of jumping and swimming deaths, including fatalities in 2013 and 2015, from current, submerged rock, and depth misjudgment. Some access crosses private land, and vehicle break-ins have been reported at parking areas.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
