About this spot
Starting from Marquette, travel north on Lakeshore Boulevard until you reach Presque Isle, then continue along the eastern portion of the island. You'll spot a parking area alongside the road, likely with other vehicles already present. Walk toward the shoreline and the site becomes apparent. The jumping opportunities consist of heights between 15 and 18 feet above Lake Superior's typically cold water. This location has gained considerable popularity among area residents, with crowds that can exceed 70 people during peak times. The atmosphere tends to be welcoming and social. A sandy beach area accommodates those who prefer not to jump. This spot merits a visit when in the Marquette region.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
