About this spot

From Marquette, take Wright Street as it curves away from the University toward US 41, passing the shopping mall and Walmart area. Continue past utility lines and an ATV trail to reach a parking area, or walk the full road to its terminus near a small hydroelectric facility and a private residence. The path to the falls climbs upward then descends to a stream. Moving upstream, you'll cross a small branch stream before ascending steeply to arrive at several large pools. The left side features cliffs between 15 and 18 feet tall. The right side has a 48-foot cliff requiring jumpers to clear rocks at the base. The pool was sufficiently deep that neither swimmers nor those attempting the taller jump touched bottom. The location is accessible year-round with minimal insect activity despite expectations.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
