About this spot
Bridal Veil Falls is one of seven named waterfalls on the Brook Walk Trail through the Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area in Moultonborough, on Shannon Brook. It drops about 26 feet into a narrow gorge and is reached by an easy half-mile walk; the trail views it from cliffs above, with access to the base described as difficult and not recommended. The Lakes Region Conservation Trust hiking trails here are open daily dawn to dusk. This is a scenic hiking waterfall on protected conservation land, not a documented swimming or jumping destination — no jump culture is reported, and base access is discouraged.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
