About this spot
Diana's Baths is a series of granite-sculpted cascades on Lucy Brook in the White Mountain National Forest, reached via an easy, partly ADA-accessible half-mile trail from West Side Road (parking lot at 3872 West Side Road, North Conway; $5/car self-pay kiosk, free on foot, open 6am-10pm). The falls drop about 75 feet in stepped tiers, feeding several clear pools where visitors wade, swim, and scramble over smooth boulders once the site of an 1800s sawmill. Depths vary by pool and season; the main hazard is slick, algae-covered granite that turns falls into a natural waterslide and makes footing treacherous, especially after rain or high runoff. Swimming and rock-hopping are permitted and popular in summer/fall, but the Forest Service does not maintain the pools and there is no lifeguard.
