About this spot
From Boone, NC, head toward Linville on Highway 105. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you encounter a traffic light, then proceed another couple miles. On your left, you'll spot a caboose situated in a gravel lot. The dam location is to the right of the caboose, accessible via a brief but steep downhill path.
