About this spot
Starting from Boone, NC, head south on Highway 421 toward Tennessee, then turn left onto Highway 321 and travel roughly 10 miles. Beyond a concrete bridge spanning flat terrain, a small unpaved parking area appears on the right side of the road. After parking, walk across the highway to access a brief, tight trail that leads to the jump site. Three separate jumps are available, measuring approximately 15, 30, and 20 feet. The largest jump requires careful descending due to its extreme difficulty. The landing area presents obstacles including a sizeable boulder with minimal space for takeoff before clearing it.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
