About this spot
Pinky Falls is a small, easy-to-reach waterfall on Flat Mountain Road between Highlands and Cashiers, NC, about 2 miles from downtown Highlands via US-64, with a small gravel pull-off and a trail under a minute long. It ends at a small sandy beach and a low sliding rock that empties into a shallow, roughly 4-foot pool, making it better suited to wading, splashing, and sliding than jumping from height. It's a free, dog-friendly, family-favorite picnic and swim spot with no admission fee, busy on summer weekends. The main hazard is the shallow pool and algae-slick rock at the base of the slide; because depth is limited, jumping is not advisable here, though sliding is the local draw.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
