About this spot

Emily's Cascade is one of six falls along a quarter-mile run of Fork Creek north of Lake Toxaway, NC, reached via a gated Nantahala National Forest road (public foot access despite the vehicle gate) off McIntosh Road. Reaching it requires a creek crossing and a scramble down the right bank — experienced-hiker terrain, not a casual walk. No swimming-hole or cliff-jump reports were found for this specific drop; coverage treats it as a scenic/photography waterfall. Footing on wet rock is the main hazard.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
