Thunder Falls is a drop on a Middle Saluda River tributary in the Jones Gap/Mountain Bridge Wilderness area near Cleveland, SC, reached via a long, hard, off-trail-adjacent shuttle hike sometimes called the Toll Road route. Documented by a single specialist waterfall database (with a matching companion, Notch Falls, nearby). Terrain is steep and canopy-covered with no confirmed pool size. Note: swimming is not permitted within Jones Gap State Park proper, so legality should be confirmed before entering the water here.
