Head Foremost Falls is a small cascade in the Jones Gap State Park backcountry near Marietta, SC, on a drainage reached via the park's Hospital Rock/Gap Creek trail network off Jones Gap Road. Jones Gap charges a day-use fee (about $6/adult) and requires trailhead registration, with parking reservations enforced on weekends and holidays. The park officially prohibits swimming — wading is permitted only in the Middle Saluda River — and this creek's approach rocks are slick with limited pool depth.
