A stretch of natural chutes and ledges on the Ompompanoosuc River's West Branch near Thetford Center, VT, satellite-confirmed as an active whitewater channel. Access is via Union Village Dam Road/Buzzell Bridge Road or the Tucker Hill Road lot near the covered bridge; multiple independent sources (hiddenswimmingholes.com, a local Thetford blog, Valley News) describe locals jumping and swimming along roughly an eighth of a mile of river here. These are unofficial, unmonitored spots with no lifeguards — submerged rocks and current change with recent rain, so scout depth before jumping. Land is a mix of public river access and river-corridor parcels; no fee, but respect any posted signage near the dam property.
