Slide Rock State Park sits on Oak Creek in Oak Creek Canyon, about 7 miles north of Sedona on AZ-89A (address is 6871 N Hwy 89A, Sedona — not the 'Junipine Circle' previously listed). Entry fee applies; the park runs 8am-5pm, bars drop-offs/walk-ins, and bans pets from the creek year-round and from the whole park May-September. The 156-space lot fills fast in spring and summer and closes to new cars until space opens up. Unofficial cliff jumping off the smooth red-rock ledges is a long local tradition, with several spots roughly 10-50 ft along the creek; it isn't officially sanctioned, so check water depth and rock slickness first. The natural rock-chute waterslide is the main draw.
