About this spot
Riga Falls is a shallow, unofficial plunge pool on Wachocastinook Creek inside the Mount Riga Preserve above Salisbury. Reach it via Factory Street, which turns to unpaved road as it follows the creek upstream into the plateau; the trail in is moderate but steep and narrow, demanding solid footwear. This is a wading and dipping spot rather than a true jump venue — the pool is small and shallow over smooth bedrock, so confirm depth before any jump. There's no fee, no facilities, no lifeguards, and no cell reception, and current and clarity shift fast after rain or snowmelt. Best flow is late spring to early summer; slippery rocks are the main hazard.
