Sages Ravine Brook Falls sits right on the Connecticut–Massachusetts line, a roadside cascade on Sages Ravine Brook just south of the state line off Route 41 in Salisbury/Mount Washington. Park in the small 3-to-4-car pull-off about 100 feet past the brook bridge; a short, steep scramble down either bank reaches rock-rimmed pools used as swimming holes by Appalachian Trail hikers passing through the ravine, which is protected by the Salisbury Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy. The falls are hard to see from the bridge itself, and the terrain is steep, wet, and remote with no lifeguard, cell service, or facilities — wear sturdy shoes and take care, especially after rain when flow surges. No fee; dogs permitted. This is a backcountry swim stop, not a developed jump site.
