About this spot
Located in Portlock, this spot requires navigation from Honolulu heading east on H1 toward Hanauma Bay. Turn right on Nawiliwili Street near the end of Hawaii Kai, then left on Poipu Road. Continue left on Moloaa and right on Lumahai. Watch for a public right-of-way passage between two residences on your right; park nearby on the street and hike down to access the area. Conditions here are heavily influenced by daily wave activity—when swells are forceful against the rock formation, the environment becomes hazardous, which explains the location's local name.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
